Origin Story
Why I Stopped Trading Time for Money
And what I'm building instead
The moment everything shifted
I was sitting at my desk at 11pm, finishing a client website that should have taken three days but had stretched into two weeks.
The client was happy. The invoice was paid. And I felt nothing.
Not because the work was bad. Because I realised that tomorrow I would wake up and do exactly the same thing again. Find a client. Scope the work. Do the work. Invoice. Repeat.
I was good at it. But I was on a treadmill I had built myself.
That was the moment I started asking a different question. Not how do I get more clients? But how do I build something that works when I'm not working?
The trap most agency owners never escape
If you run an agency, freelance, or sell any kind of service — you already know this feeling. Your income is a direct function of your time. You get better, you charge more, you get busier. The ceiling just gets higher. It doesn't disappear.
And the brutal truth is that most of the tools promising to fix this — productised services, retainers, templates — just make the treadmill slightly more comfortable. You're still on it.
The right problem isn't how do I work more efficiently? It's how do I build systems that generate value without my direct involvement?
That distinction changed everything for me.
What I'm building — and why now
I want to be honest with you about where I am. I'm not writing this from a beach having already solved everything. I'm building this in real time, alongside everything else — client work, launches, experiments, failures.
Zero Touch is both the newsletter and the mission. The tagline is simple: Let AI do the work. Own the system. Keep the profit.
Here's what that looks like in practice:
- —
Black Crow Marketing — my agency, runs on AI-powered workflows. Websites that used to take weeks now take days. Claude Code handles the build. I handle the strategy and the relationships.
- —
Your AI Profit Pilot — a separate income stream built around Vyvo's AI infrastructure. A funnel that runs autonomously, captures leads while I sleep, and nurtures them through an automated email sequence.
- —
This newsletter — content that compounds. Every edition lives permanently on my site, builds SEO, and works as a lead generation asset long after I hit publish.
Why now? Because the tools to do this properly have only existed for about eighteen months. The window where early movers get disproportionate advantage is open right now. It won't stay open forever.
I'm in Singapore later this year. My UK business will keep running. Not because I hired a team — because I built systems. That's what Zero Touch is about.
What this newsletter is
Every edition of Zero Touch is one thing: a genuine share of what's working, what isn't, and what I'm building next. No fluff. No recycled AI hot takes.
- —
Real workflows — the actual systems I'm using, explained clearly enough to implement yourself
- —
Honest building in public — what's working, what failed, what I'd do differently
- —
One actionable takeaway — every edition ends with one specific thing you can do this week
- —
Early access — tools, products and strategies before they're widely known
One thing to do this week
Set up a CLAUDE.md file
A persistent instruction set that tells Claude exactly how you work, what you're building, and how you want it to respond. The difference between starting from scratch every conversation and picking up exactly where you left off.
- 1.Open your terminal
- 2.Run:
mkdir -p ~/.claude - 3.Create a CLAUDE.md file inside it
- 4.Write a brief description of who you are, what you're building, and your preferred working style
Coming in Edition 02
A client website in under 48 hours
The exact workflow I use to go from blank folder to live deployment using Claude Code. The same system that powers Black Crow Marketing — and the one I'm now packaging so anyone can use it.
